The Private Archives Course is divided into two Modules: the first relates to family archives and business archives and the second to personal archives with a particular focus on artist and author archives.

Learning Objectives
It pursues the objective of showing a general overview of the complex world of private archives and of providing the student with the tools that enable them to acquire critical, methodological and scientific skills in reference to the organization of documentation, the creation of accompanying tools, and use. to the enhancement of these archival types.
Prerequisites
Prerequisite for attending lectures is the knowledge of general archival skills.
Teaching Methods
Frontal lessons; visits to archives, documentation centers and conservation agencies.
Teaching also takes place in a 'blended learning' mode. Progressively and in-depth material will appear on the Moodle platform progressively to the lectures. Access to the platform is possible with institutional credentials and a password which will be provided by the teacher in class or which can be requested from the teacher via e-mail.
Type of Assessment
The exam consists of an oral interview to assess the knowledge of the topics discussed during the lessons and the recommended bibliography, and the critical and methodological abilities developed by the student.
We will evaluate:
- Mastery of content
- The ability to summarize and analyze themes and concepts
- The ability to know how to express adequately and with appropriate language to the subject treated.
